Department Definition
The Corporate Strategy function works with the CEO and the CFO to drive the annual Business Planning and review process. It is also responsible for carrying out feasibility studies for new business ideas and products as requested by management from time to time and presenting the same to them for approval. It is also responsible for evaluating and presenting their recommendation to management on new investment opportunities. Finally, it is also responsible for setting up and rolling out KPIs across the organization and providing regular reports to the CEO and CFO on the same.
Opportunity Responsibilities
The main responsibilities for this role include:
- Develop KPI score cards for the Organization as a whole and for the various departments.
- Support the KPI scorecards with the development of relevant technical sheets covering – definitions, source systems etc
- Work with management to set targets
- Roll out the score cards to the organization as a whole and support the department heads in reporting by training identified KPI champions in each Business Unit
- Ensure that these are reported on a timely basis by the departments and compiled and presented to senior management on a monthly basis
- Prepare summary reports for presentation to the Supreme Committee on a monthly basis along with critical analysis of the performance
- Coordinate with relevant departments such as finance to carry out the critical analysis
- Prepare submission reports in Arabic to relevant government entities such as DOF, DDGEP etc
- Work with ECT to automate and have these scorecards reported using Microsoft Power BI and other tools as identified from time to time
- Carry out ad hoc tasks as assigned by VP Corporate Strategy from time to time
- Support in feasibility studies as and where required
Skills
Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience as well as:
- Served in Strategy role previously
- Experience in a Tier 1 consulting firm preferable
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Finance degree preferable
- Should be fluent in written and spoken Arabic
