Opportunity Responsibilities
The Manager, Programme supports the development of programming and client content/event consulting, while contributing to daily project management operations.
The main responsibilities for this role include:
Strategic Responsibilities:
- Feed into the ECDA stated objectives of enhancing its position as an international centre of excellence, preserving intellectual content and developing further such content to serve the Emirate’s future plans.
Operational Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the design and development of the Group’s content programming and events
Identification, researching and building relationships with event speakers. - Support the management of relationships with the Group’s key speakers, thought partners, contributors and clients.
- Support the overall project management, design and delivery of client content and events consulting.
Identify and build relationships with clients, contributors and thought partners for their input throughout conceptualisation and development stages. - Design and execute project plans and production timelines, ensuring adherence to budgets, deadlines and milestones identified in close collaboration with senior management.
- Contribute to brainstorming and feedback sessions across the Group’s teams (this can include marketing, content and programming development, etc.).
- Provide regular and accurate reporting updates to management.
- Support the Director and other senior management on assignments, such as the design of proposals & RFPs.
- Support the production of research and analysis on the thematic focus areas to identify white space, new perspective and activation formats for the Group or client’s programming development.
- Liaise and collaborate with relevant internal teams and external stakeholders as required for the effective and timely delivery of projects and programming development.
- Design and manage the programme archive, demonstrating analytical and organisational skill in equal measure
Skills
5+ years of experience in programming development, preferably within the thematic context of Sustainability, Climate Change, Water, Food and Energy as well as:
- Experience in the development of content and audience experiences for online/hybrid events - in particular n conference, academic or thought-leadership style event content design
- Strong research skills and ability to quickly understand key themes around programming priorities
- An innovative mentality and agile approach to project management, partnerships and event conceptualisation
- Ability to effectively and efficiently manage several complex projects in parallel
- Project Management knowledge and or certification
- Good working knowledge of project management software such as Pimavera or MS Project
- Calm in pressured environments, with the ability to contribute to urgent decision making
- Strong communication skills and proven ability to work positively/collaboratively with multinational and cross-functional teams
- Produces succinct reports in PowerPoint and Word, including data visualizations; comfortable presenting in front of higher management as needed
- Capable of delivering high quality work in fast-paced team environment
- Structured and strategic thinking: identifies gaps and overlapping elements across teams within the Division; able to produce ideas/initiatives from scratch
