Department Definition

The Finance Department is responsible for managing all the financial aspects of EXPO City. The department functions include planning organizing, auditing, accounting for and controlling finances, as well as reporting and producing financial statements.

الوصف الوظيفي

The Senior Manager Treasury role is to manage funding and liquidity requirements while managing the market risks Expo city is exposed to. In addition to continuously monitoring and manage cash balances, securities bonding, bank facilities

The main responsibilities for this role include:

Strategic Responsibilities

  • Working with local, regional and international banks for securing funding requirements
  • Working with the banks for securing funding requirements
  • Securing and managing bank facilities


Operational Responsibilities

  • Manage cash projection, and daily positions, and bank balances.
  • Banking relationship including account opening, bank mandates, LCs, LGs and other banking documents.
  • Coordinate and report to Department of Finance Cash flow, Cash call, Cash utilization and other treasury related reports
  • Review, Reconcile and report bank balances
  • Developing and managing the various bank relationships and attend bank meetings
  • Evaluating various structures and proposals from banks
  • Financial risk management (FX, Interest rates and Commodities) once applicable
  • Assist in business plan update and financial forecast
  • Analyzing new investments and projects
  • Keeping track of Guarantees and security received from the various contractors and suppliers
  • Producing treasury reports on timely basis

People Responsibilities

  • Lead the divisions responsibly and proficiently, providing effective line management to direct reports
  • Set objectives and evaluate performance of individual direct reports and actively manage key personnel issues
  • Ensure that all staff acquire the required skills and knowledge through appropriate learning and development programs for the three functions.
  • Provide visible leadership to the divisions and across the organization to key stakeholders.

المهارات

8+ Years of relevant experience, with over 3 to 5 years of experience in treasury or corporate finance or corporate banking in the GCC (UAE is preferred) as well as:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance and/or accounting or equivalent is required
  • MBA or Master’s in finance is preferred
  • Worked in a Treasury Division for large corporate is preferred.
  • Strong relationships with banks and financing institutions.
    Knowledge of investment portfolio strategy, banking, and financial instruments.
  • Excellent knowledge of financing, project financing, trade finance and debt structuring.
